Ever Marie is Here!

Ever Marie is here! Ever was born on 11-11-16 at exactly 7 am.  She was 8 lbs and 9 oz and either 18 or 19 inches long.  Dan heard 19 inches and I heard 18, so we will never know for sure.  haha.  These pictures are from the last several weeks and are in a random order.

She was almost as angry as Eliza when she was born. haha  This birth was very different because they allowed Ever and Daniel to be in recovery with me.  I also only spent 24 hours in the hospital.  Daniel and Patti spent most of the day with me and then Patti stayed the night (so Daniel could be home with Eliza).  Eliza did really well and we got her a new toy to distract her while Mommy was at "work" haha.  Eliza understands that Daddy goes to work and so she didn't mind when Mommy had to go to. The toy we got was a Doc Mcstuffins Check-up Cart.  She has played with that thing for hours and hours every single day since.

Patti got some great pictures at the hospital.

Home at Last

Eliza was so excited to meet Baby Sister.  She tells everyone we meet about her.  She also tends to shout out "I have a new baby sister" to people we pass by at the store.

She whispers "Shh Honey" when Ever gets upset.  Eliza also tells us which songs from her music Cd (that we play in the car) Ever likes.  Right now Ever likes "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".  Eliza will sing that to her when she is crying, or demand we play it for her in the car.  According to Eliza, Ever does not like the "Baby Bumble Bee" song.

This is funny because I asked Patti to go grab a new outfit for Ever.  She comes back with this one, which she bought for Eliza when she was born.  haha Patti didn't remember that, she just liked the colors and so that is the one she picked.

This picture makes me laugh.  Patti told Eliza that they would go play after she finished eating.  Eliza said "I help you" and proceeded to shove Patti's sandwich in her mouth.  Needless to say Eliza and Patti were buddies.

Eliza Jane

Baby picture comparison! I found the hat that they gave Eliza at the hospital when she was born.  Poor Ever didn't get one of her own. Lol

I am trying to spend one-on-one time with Eiza each day.  That would be a lot easier if she stopped waking up Ever.  ha

The weather has turned, and it is much harder to keep Eliza entertained inside all day. However, I will  put up with this to have a slightly older baby during the summer.

Thanksgiving Picture! Ever is already embarrassed by us.

We have taken Eliza to the Amazeum (Childrens Museum) several times because she loves it so much.  Here she is at the construction site.  She was painting and building like a pro.  No wonder she loves going to Lowes and Home Depot with Dan so much.

Ever did not join in on the fun.

This is Eliza at the painting station.  The kids get to paint on the glass and then spray water and clean up.  Eliza is hard at work and I have to laugh because Dan's OCD kicked in and he had to start cleaning.  Eliza loves this so much and was super bummed when they closed this area over winter.

This is the best group shot, out of the 500 we took. haha

Everybody wants to be around Aunt Patti

Eliza picked Patti and flower and this picture is so cute!

Here we are waiting for Aunt Patti/Hatti to get checked in at the airport.  Eliza flipped out when Patti left because she wanted to go with her.  We are so glad Patti came out for the week to hang out with us.

Playing with Daddy

Patti got this picture the day before Ever came.  One of my last parenting moments with just Eliza and a sweet keepsake.

Last Post Before Baby #2

We have been very busy lately.  These are a few pictures from our most recent adventures and such. I am trying to spend lot of family time together, celebrate Halloween, prepare for baby, get Thanksgiving put together and shop for Christmas all at once.  All that isn't easy at 39 weeks, lol.

We took Eliza to Bentonville's Toyland event again this year, where Walmart vendors hand out little free toys and you can see some cool new stuff for your childs Christmas list.  We had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect. Eliza will not be getting this car, we just let her sit in it.  haha

For Halloween Eliza had two costumes, one for nice weather and one for bad weather.  I think it was about 80 degrees when we went Trick-or-Treating, so she was a fairy princess.  She is constantly playing with her wand and turning me into various animals and then changing me back.

We also went to the grand opening of a new park by our house.  Lake Atalanta (yes that is spelled right) has been under construction for the last year.  This revamped park is a great addition to Rogers.  There is a natural splash pad, several playgrounds, a tree house and miles of walking trails around the lake.  Eliza especially loved the splash pad, even though the water was very cold.

The lake was very busy opening day, so we walked a little ways on the Greenway Trail to go.  This was a good idea, until my flip-flop broke and I was stranded at the park until the reopened the roads around it.  Dan went back to get the car and then picked us up.  That was not very much fun.

Pumpkin Carving.  We decided to just decorate the outside of some pumpkins, but Eliza saw a carved one and loved it so we did that to.  She was a very good helper for Daddy and they made some great jack-o-lanterns.

Daddy and Eliza practiced on her balance bike, she is still getting the hang of it.

We went to a pumpkin patch!

We also have been working a lot outside and Eliza helped clear out a small drainage ditch on her Volvo.

39 weeks and Eliza thinks my belly is hilarious.  She asks me if I can "take it off" and is pretty interested in it.  We haven't explained much about where baby sister is because I don't want her asking strangers if they are expecting a baby sister.  One of her little cartoons had an episode about a juice stand and Eliza is fascinated by it.  She is holding two juice containers because she likes to put out cups and serve her "customers".  She calls it "play summertime juice".  Daniel and I are her customers and we have been getting plenty of cups of juice.  She is so happy to play this and her face just lights up when you tell her it is delicious juice.  She even mixes some of the flavors together and that is pretty good to.  The floor under her juice stand is also very clean, because it gets mopped a few times a day.  haha

We are just a few days away from baby girl #2, so I am not sure when I will be posting again.  I might just put some pictures up real quick one day soon.  Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

My Birthday!

This is my last birthday as a Mom of 1 and we all had a great day.  Eliza helped make my cake and I wanted to add that to her blog.

Going "stir, stir, stir"

The grocery store only had the alphabet as decorations, so we just went with it.
Ok, so the next three pictures are interesting because we are making the same face.  I might start admitting that she does look like me.

My cake from Eliza!
