Turning 10 Months Old and a Driving Adventure

Where to start? Eliza has been growing so fast and in the last month has had 3.5 teeth come in.  No picture of teeth as of yet - she sticks her tongue out (as you will see) and doesn't do toothy grins in general.  She does have a cute little gap in her top teeth, but I don't know if that will change. I know she has started gaining a bit of weight since she is doing table food now, so she is probably over 17 lbs. So far she has just walked 3 steps in a row.  Just this week I could tell she is so much more confident, and she is so proud when she stands and walks on her own.  Her hair has started to grow in really well.  She wants to look good for her birthday party. haha Her tv watching is out of control.  She loves anything with music and singing.  I usually always have the Sprout channel on and she loves Chica and Star.  I know it is bad, but I have to have the tv on during the day to save me from utter boredom.

She no longer likes to sit in this toy, she prefers to climb all over it.
This picture documents the full body stretch she uses to reach things I thought were safe.

She loves this toy and is walking really fast with it.

Eating is getting messier.  She loves cucumbers, puff snacks, cherrios, bananas, apples and cantaloupe. She is getting way crazy and playing with her food more. Her favorite thing is to bang on a tray full of cherrios and watch them bounce to the ground.  She will also spit out whatever is in her mouth if you put something else on her tray.  We have also started buckling her into her high chair because she will climb out of it so fast! We have pretty much completely skipped baby food.  I buy it every once in a while, but she is rarely interested in it.

Can I have some more?

This is the ONLY way I can baby proof the tub so she cannot turn on the water.  She has figured everything else out and even takes the handles off herself while the water is running.  Bath time is stressful.

So right now Eliza is difficult to get down for naps.  I have to hold her the whole time, or we have to drive her around the house in the stroller until she falls asleep, or we have to drive her around in the car. Well one day last week we were driving around and came across this house:

Yes, it is a hobbit house.  This is not a small house either, it was much larger than it appears and is someones ACTUAL house.  I want to go back in the summer to see all the landscaping in bloom.  That alone was crazy enough - but there was more.....

This bald eagle was hanging out in the front yard.  You can't make this stuff up.
